Jack Taylor Achieves Board Certification in Construction Law

Jack Taylor Construction Law

Ansbacher Law is pleased to announce that Attorney Jack Taylor has recently achieved board certification in construction law.

Board certification is a voluntary program, officiated by The Florida Supreme Court and administered by The Florida Bar. Becoming a board-certified lawyer shows that Attorney Jack Taylor has dedicated himself to achieving a heightened level of excellence through character, professionalism, ethics, and credibility in construction law. Of note, as of 2023, only five percent of eligible Florida Bar members (i.e., fewer than 5,000 lawyers) have earned board certification in one or more of the 27 specialty areas.

Without further ado, the minimum standards for construction law certification, provided in Rule 6-24.3, are as follows:

  • An attorney must have practiced law for at least five years.
  • An attorney must have substantial involvement in the specialty of construction law (i.e., at least 40 percent) during the three years immediately preceding their application.
  • An attorney must have 45 hours of approved construction law certification continuing legal education during the three years immediately preceding their application.
  • An attorney must undergo a rigorous peer review process that assesses their competence in the specialty of construction law.
  • An attorney must pass a written comprehensive examination that evaluates a high level of knowledge, skills, and expertise in the specialty of construction law.

Congratulations on this achievement, Jack!
