Florida Bar offers Free Contractors University in January 2017

Ansbacher Law is pleased to participate in the 2017 “Contractors University” presented by the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section.

Contractors University is coming on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the offices of the Northeast Florida Builders Association located at 103 Century 21 Drive, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32216, 904-725-4355. The event runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Lunch is provided.

Contractors University is a new concept in the delivery of practical advice on construction business practices. In addition to providing interactive education, the University will provide usable forms, checklists and other tools for to help manage the legal aspects of a construction business.

Specific topics included in the program are:

  • Best Practices for Preparing Claims, Effective Dispute Resolution & Maintaining Accounting Records to Track and Prove Monetary Damages – Presenters: Lee Weintraub, Reese Henderson, and Bryan Rendzio.
  • Practical Tips to Understanding Construction Insurance and the Gaps in Coverage – Don’t be Caught Bare – Presenter: Barry Ansbacher.

The program is accredited by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation for four (4) hours of credit applicable to the fourteen (14) hour continuing education requirement for licensed contractors. Course #0611430.

There is no charge for this event, but space is extremely limited and prior registration is required. For more information or to register contact Katie Lob at Ansbacher Law, katie.lob@ansbacher.net or 904.737.4600 x125.
