The Florida Legislature amended Chapter 720 Florida Statutes this year to require registration of every Florida community association. The law requires the community association manager to file the registration no later than November 22, 2013.If an association does not use a community association manager then the duty falls on the officers and directors for the association.
The purpose of the report is to enable the Division to report the data to the Governor and Legislature annually. There is no penalty for failure to file, however, if a community association manager ignores this obligation they may be subject to disciplinary action against their license.
The Division requires registration to be accomplished through its website.
