Meet Laura Flynn – Litigation Legal Assistant

We are proud to introduce Laura Flynn, who is a legal assistant in Ansbacher Law’s construction defect litigation department.  Laura started with Ansbacher Law in June of last year as our receptionist, and took on her current role about three months ago.

In her position, Laura works on responding to and providing information to insurance companies and their counsel.

She recently completed the necessary course work at the University of North Florida to become a certified Paralegal. Laura is also a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). She is currently working towards becoming a Florida Registered Paralegal, which will allow her to become more involved in her role and assist attorneys more in depth.

Below, Laura answers some questions to get to know her a little better:

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

A: “I really value being part of a Team where I can contribute positively to the fine work that our law firm does. I love that it is never boring and I am able to continue learning new things.”

Q: What book are you reading right now?

A: “I don’t do leisurely reading!  At the moment, studying NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) Certified Paralegal Exam Fundamentals.  Although I have a certification, I am working toward being a Florida Registered Paralegal.”

Q: What takes up the most of your time outside of work?

A: “I am an entrepreneur and small business owner.  I spend most of my outside time making, marketing and delivering a craft-probiotic beverage (check out IG: MorKefir)  to local markets and coffee shops.  I’m also a Mother of 8 and “Mima” of 8.  I am biking 100 miles in October to fundraise for the MS Society.”

Q:If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?

A:  “1. I want the world to be a kinder, more loving place for my children/grandchildren.

2. Be able to ride my bike a little faster 😊

3. Travel to the Islands.”

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: “Ooooh.  One?  Pizza.  Peanut butter.  All the things.  This question is too hard.”

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: “I love the movie, “Amazing Grace.”  It is a compelling and inspirational true story of Wilbur Wilburforce and the end of the slave trade in England. Although historical, it reveals the difference one soul who strives for good can make in the world.”
