We are thrilled to announce Brooke M. Cleary as the firm’s newest associate attorney. She was sworn in by the Honorable Gary Flower on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after successfully passing the 2025 Florida Bar Examination. Brooke earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she served as President of the Environmental Law Society, earned a Certificate of Concentration in Environmental Law, was the winner of the 2022 ELULS Law School Note Competition, and received the highest grade in Administrative Law.

“Brooke Cleary was an exceptional summer associate at Ansbacher Law during both the summers of 2022 and 2023,” said Partner Barry Ansbacher.

During her time at Stetson, Brooke worked for the Southwest Florida Water Management District and served as a teaching assistant for the law school in Trusts and Estates. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida, where she taught an upper-level Environmental Regulations course focused on both domestic and international environmental laws and cases. Outside of the classroom and workplace, Brooke regularly volunteered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cleaning public spaces, parks, neighborhoods, and shorelines.

Prior to attending law school, Brooke graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. While at FSU, she served as the Academic Director of her sorority, Phi Mu, and completed internships at the Florida Capitol in a U.S. Senator’s office and with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Brooke will represent clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as land use, zoning, and environmental matters at Ansbacher Law.
