Real EstateBack |
Our practice includes all areas of real estate. From environmental,
zoning, and land use issues for a new development to construction of your new home.
In Florida our firm, and most other real estate firms also serve as title insurance agents.
This allows us to both represent our client to assure that title to the property is
suitable and then to issue a title insurance policy for additional protection.
In Florida title is considered "GOOD" and "MARKETABLE" when it meets the standards
promulgated by as the
Uniform Title Standards
(click on this link to download / open 700k PDF file). Although by law title insurance
companies are not allowed to insure ownership where the title is not marketable,
it is not uncommon for this law to be violated. Title insurance is not a substitute
for good title as many clients later discover when making a claim. This is why it is so
important to first assure that title is good then insure the title.
If you have questions as to whether title to your property is "good" you should review the Uniform Title Standards. If you still have question, please call. To stay informed about Florida Community Association Laws, join our free list server hosted by Google. |
